Axiom is the software framework used in Visual Music and Small Media.

It is a dynamic visual language based on graph theory and the data flow model. It uses the visual programming paradigm to reduce typing source code to a minimum.

Axiom is currently implemented in Java in 3 parts: Core, IDE and Plug-ins. Axiom plug-ins include support for Java2D, OpenGL, audio and video.
